An Arlington based IT Consultancy are looking a SQL Server Engineer to join their team. Their Government Customer develops and operates unique and innovative overhead reconnaissance systems and conducts intelligence-related activities for U.S. National Security.

The Government client specializes in developing and operating advanced aerial surveillance systems and conducting intelligence operations critical to U.S. National Security. Information Technology (IT) plays a crucial role in supporting both military personnel and the Intelligence Community by facilitating the distribution of actionable intelligence across operational and administrative systems.

Program Overview:

This program serves as the primary engineering division responsible for designing and implementing IT systems that bolster the Agency's mission. With over ten years of dedicated involvement and extensive expertise, our consultancy is a trusted partner in enhancing and modernizing the Agency's IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineer, document, deploy, and maintain various versions of Microsoft SQL from 2005 through 2017, following specified guidelines and security protocols.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to performance, security, and technical functionality.
  • Participate in all phases of the ITIL Service Life cycle, including managing Change Requests and resolving Incident tickets.
  • Design and integrate SQL instances across both virtualized and physical environments.
  • Implement robust database solutions and develop strategies for disaster recovery.
  • Ensure database configurations align with DISA STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides).
  • Support applications reliant on SQL databases, including optimizing performance and troubleshooting.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field with at least 8 years of experience, including 3-5 years in SQL administration and design.
  • Experience with Modern M365 Online Infrastructure.
  • Background in cybersecurity readiness.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows systems, including DNS, Group Policy, and PKI.
  • CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification for IAT Level II DoD 8570 compliance.
  • MCSA, MCSE, or comparable M365 Infrastructure certification.

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with MySQL.
  • Advanced expertise in designing scalable, highly available database solutions.
  • Experience in SharePoint Online Administration & Development.
  • Background in Modern App Development.
