Job Description

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Machine Learning (ML) Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions to create intelligent and automated systems. This role works on various stages of the AI/ML development life cycle, from data preprocessing and model development to deployment and monitoring. The AI/ML developer is generally focused on integrating and implementing AI/ML algorithms and logic into the deliverables of an IT project.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborates with various stakeholders to understand, meet, and answer business challenges using AI/ML software
- Develops and implements machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex problems and extract insights from large datasets
- Preprocesses, cleans and transforms data to ensure its quality and relevance for training and inference
- Selects appropriate machine learning techniques and models based on the problem at hand, such as supervised learning, unsupervised learning, or reinforcement learning
- Trains and fine-tunes models using various algorithms and frameworks, such as TensorFlow and PyTorch
- Optimizes models for performance, scalability, and accuracy, considering factors like computational resources and memory constraints
- Collaborates with software engineers to integrate AI/ML models into existing systems or develop new applications
- Stays updated with the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies and contributes to the adoption of best practices within the team
Education
Required:
- A bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, management information systems, statistics, or related field
Preferred:
- A master's degree in data science, computer science, management information systems, statistics, or related field
Experience
Required:
- Three years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, or similar field
- Demonstrated expertise in machine learning, recommendation systems, pattern recognition, data mining, AI, or a related technical field
Skills/Cert/Licenses
Required
- Fluency in multiple programming languages and statistical analysis tools, such as Python, C++, JavaScript, R, SAS, Excel, SQL, MATLAB, SPSS
- Proficiency in machine learning algorithms such as multi-class classifications, decision trees, support vector machines and deep learning
- Strong understanding of probability and statistical models (generative and descriptive models)
- Ability to run experiments scientifically and analyze results
- Experience with business intelligence tools and technologies such as ETL, Power BI, and Tableau
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and results to technical and business audiences in a comprehensive manner
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders, including analytics teams, development teams, product management, and operations
- Ability to work independently and in a fully remote environment
- Willingness and ability to stay up to date on new ML/AI technologies and their potential impact on the company
- Willingness and ability to learn new technologies on the job
