Key Responsibilities:

Lead architectural discussions regarding various Azure services, making well-informed decisions.
Design application security solutions to ensure a secure cloud environment.
Contribute to application mapping and optimization initiatives.
Analyze various Azure services, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and standalone offerings.
Evaluate cloud migration strategies, including lift-and-shift versus PaaS solutions, and participate in migration projects.
Manage Azure software-defined networking.
Develop and maintain comprehensive Azure architecture documentation.
Administer Windows Server environments.
Patch virtual machines across the entire tenant.
Implement and oversee Azure and Entra ID security measures.
Collaborate with stakeholders to align Azure solutions with business requirements.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in Azure technologies.
Provide training and guidance to team members on Azure best practices.

Skills and Qualifications:
Required:

Minimum of 5 years of experience with the Azure cloud platform.
Proficiency in Azure IaaS services, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and virtual networks.
Strong understanding of traditional TCP/IP networking and experience with Azure software-defined networking, including network security groups, Azure Firewall, VPN Gateways, load balancers, Application Gateways, and Azure Front Door.
Experience with one or more Azure PaaS compute offerings, such as App Services, AKS, or other Azure container services.
Familiarity with Entra ID and related identity concepts, including conditional access, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and application registrations.
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Azure Bicep.
Experience with DevOps CI/CD practices, including Azure DevOps Pipelines or GitHub Actions.
Proficient in SQL Server and/or open-source databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
Understanding of Azure Policy.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients.
