Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead architectural discussions regarding various Azure services, making well-informed decisions.
  • Design application security solutions to ensure a secure cloud environment.
  • Contribute to application mapping and optimization initiatives.
  • Analyze various Azure services, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and standalone offerings.
  • Evaluate cloud migration strategies, including lift-and-shift versus PaaS solutions, and participate in migration projects.
  • Manage Azure software-defined networking.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive Azure architecture documentation.
  • Administer Windows Server environments.
  • Patch virtual machines across the entire tenant.
  • Implement and oversee Azure and Entra ID security measures.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align Azure solutions with business requirements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in Azure technologies.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on Azure best practices.


Skills and Qualifications:
Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with the Azure cloud platform.
  • Proficiency in Azure IaaS services, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and virtual networks.
  • Strong understanding of traditional TCP/IP networking and experience with Azure software-defined networking, including network security groups, Azure Firewall, VPN Gateways, load balancers, Application Gateways, and Azure Front Door.
  • Experience with one or more Azure PaaS compute offerings, such as App Services, AKS, or other Azure container services.
  • Familiarity with Entra ID and related identity concepts, including conditional access, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and application registrations.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Azure Bicep.
  • Experience with DevOps CI/CD practices, including Azure DevOps Pipelines or GitHub Actions.
  • Proficient in SQL Server and/or open-source databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Understanding of Azure Policy.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients.


Preferred:

  • Experience with containerization and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with landing zones.
  • Experience with other major cloud platforms.
  • Proficiency with Linux operating systems.
