Senior Cyber Systems Specialist

Location: Florida (On-Site, Full-Time)

Role Overview:The Senior Cyber Training Systems Specialist will serve as a technical expert in cyber operations infrastructure, system validation, and event execution. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless technical integration and mission success. The ideal candidate will thrive in high-pressure environments, offering expertise in cybersecurity architecture, system administration, and event design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide backend technical expertise for large-scale cyber exercises and multi-domain operations.
  • Act as a principal advisor for cyber operations infrastructure supporting both defensive and offensive cyber missions.
  • Design and execute environments to align with mission rehearsal goals.
  • Offer subject matter expertise on architecture, authentication protocols, and network security.
  • Support continuous improvement across event operations and technical processes.
  • Collaborate with cyber operators to enable mission success across multiple operational units.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot systems, networks, and cybersecurity infrastructure.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) processes and cyber defense/offense tools.
  • In-depth expertise in network protocols, including Domain Name System (DNS), Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), and routing methodologies.
  • Experience with systems including Microsoft Active Directory, VMware, and Security Onion.
  • Understanding of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) IdM and Single Sign-On (SSO).
  • Ability to translate mission requirements into actionable event designs.
  • 4+ years of experience with cyber operations platforms (CNO/CNE/CND).
  • 5+ years of experience in cyber training and exercise coordination.
  • Possession of a DoD 8570 IAT Level II or above certification, such as Security+, CISSP, or CCNA, or an equivalent recognized credential.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of DNS architecture, routing protocols, and email server configurations.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Security Onion or Splunk for enterprise-scale solutions.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across integrated software and hardware systems.
  • Effective communication skills for cross-team collaboration and reporting.

Security Clearance: This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance.
