About the Role
Our client, a leading Okta consulting partner, is seeking an experienced Okta Workforce Consultant for a contract role focused on Okta Workforce Identity implementations. The consultant will be responsible for deploying and configuring Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Lifecycle Management (LCM) solutions for enterprise clients. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact Okta implementations, driving secure identity and access management solutions in diverse enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
Okta Implementation and Configuration:
- Design, implement, and configure Okta Workforce Identity solutions, including SSO, MFA, and LCM.
- Deploy advanced authentication and authorization solutions across client applications and systems.
- Integrate Okta with enterprise directories, such as Active Directory (AD) and Azure AD, for user provisioning and synchronization.
Solution Design and Customization:
- Collaborate with client stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored Okta solutions.
- Implement SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SCIM protocols to enable secure application integrations.
- Design and configure Lifecycle Management workflows for automated user onboarding, offboarding, and role-based access control (RBAC).
Security and Compliance:
- Implement MFA policies, including Okta Verify, SMS, and FIDO2, to enhance enterprise security.
- Align identity solutions with client security standards and compliance requirements (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR).
Technical Support and Optimization:
- Provide technical troubleshooting and issue resolution during implementation and post go-live support.
- Optimize Okta configurations for performance, scalability, and security.
Collaboration and Documentation:
- Work closely with client teams, including IT, security, and business units, to ensure project success.
- Document implementation processes, configurations, and best practices for knowledge sharing.
Key Qualifications
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM).
- Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience implementing Okta Workforce Identity solutions, including SSO, MFA, and LCM.
- Proven track record of successful Okta deployments in enterprise environments.
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in Okta Workforce Identity components: SSO, MFA, Lifecycle Management, and Directory Integrations.
- Strong knowledge of authentication protocols, such as SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SCIM.
- Experience integrating Okta with directories like Active Directory and cloud platforms (Azure AD).
- Proficiency in configuring workflows, policies, and custom rules in Okta.
Certifications:
- Okta Certified Professional (required).
- Okta Certified Administrator or higher (preferred).
