This role requires someone who can analyze complex datasets, identify issues, and provide recommendations to improve event tracking and overall data processes.
Key Responsibilities:

- Evaluate the current homegrown solution and assist in migrating it to a new platform (e.g., Snowplow) to improve data quality and tracking.
- Collaborate closely with the hiring manager and other team members to understand the data structure, identify issues, and propose solutions.
- Apply SQL and technical expertise to dive deep into data, running queries, and identifying any discrepancies or areas for improvement.
- Provide insights into how data is categorized and utilized, ensuring that tracking aligns with the company's analytics needs.
- Meet with relevant stakeholders to understand the context of the current system and assist in the transition to new tools.
- Work with a modern data stack, with a specific focus on DBT, to optimize event tracking and analytics processes.
Requirements:

- Experience working with modern data tools and stacks, including DBT (preferred) and Snowplow (or similar).
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data issues.

- Experience in data migration or auditing existing data systems.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
- Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders and document findings clearly.
